Oodser jobseeker terms & conditions

Welcome to Oodser. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of Oodser's jobseeker features, including profile creation, job applications, career insights, and AI-driven recommendations.
By creating an account and using Oodser, you agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Data Processing Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. ACCOUNT CREATION & ELIGIBILITY
1.1. Who Can Create an Account?
You must be:
- At least 18 years old(or meet your country's minimum employment age).
- A real individual (automated accounts or bots are not allowed).
- Using a valid, personal email address for account registration.
1.2. Profile Information Requirements
When creating your Oodser profile, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information.
- Use your real name and professional details.
- Avoid fake credentials, misleading job history, or false skills.
2. USE OF AI & DATA COLLECTION
2.1. AI-Powered Career Mapping & Recommendations
Oodser's AI analyzes:
- Your resumé & skills to suggest relevant career paths.
- Job postings & industry trends to provide personalized recommendations.
- Upskilling gaps to recommend courses, learning materials, and certifications.
Limitations:
- AI-generated suggestions are not guaranteed to be perfect.
- Oodser does not guarantee employment or career success.
- Users must use discretion before making career changes based on AI recommendations.
2.2. Data Privacy & Tracking
Oodser collects data to enhance your experience, including:
- Your job searches, applications, and career interests.
- Your engagement with AI recommendations & upskilling content.
- Tracking of external learning activities (if enabled) for progress monitoring.
3. JOB APPLICATIONS & EMPLOYER INTERACTIONS
3.1. Submitting Applications
When applying to jobs on Oodser, you agree that:
- You are responsible for verifying job listings before applying.
- Oodser does not influence employer hiring decisions.
- Employers may contact you directly for screening or interviews.
Oodser is not responsible for:
- Rejections, delays, or non-responses from employers.
- Employment disputes arising after hiring.
- Unpaid work or contract issues with employers.
3.2. Job Posting Authenticity & Scams
While Oodser reviews employer accounts, fraudulent postings may still occur.
Red flags/scams include:
- Employers asking for money upfront.
- Unverified emails with suspicious domains.
- Jobs that seem too good to be true.
4. PROFILE VISIBILITY & PRIVACY CONTROLS
Users have control over how their profiles appear on Oodser.
4.1 Visibility Settings
- Public Mode: Profile is visible to employers & other jobseekers.
- Private Mode: Only you and selected employers can view your profile.
- Application Visibility: Control whether your applications are public or private.
4.2 Third-Party Data Sharing
Oodser does not sell user data. However, users may:
- Link third-party learning platforms (Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, etc.).
- Allow AI to track progress on recommended courses.
5. ACCOUNT SECURITY & FRAUD PREVENTION
5.1 Protecting Your Account
- Use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Do not share login details with anyone.
- Beware of phishing emails impersonating Oodser.
- Rejections, delays, or non-responses from employers.
- Hacking, unauthorized access, or compromised passwords.
- Account misuse by third parties.
6. CODE OF CONDUCT & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
6.1 Jobseeker Responsibilities
- • Apply with fake identities or misleading credentials.
- • Spam employers with irrelevant applications.
- • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior.
- • Post irrelevant content (Oodser is NOT a social platform).
