Oodser terms and conditions for companies
Effective Date: March 30, 2025
If you do not agree, you should refrain from using Oodser's services.
2. Definitions
- "Oodser" refers to the platform and its services operated by Oodser Ltd.
- "Company" or "Employer" refers to any business, organization, or entity that registers on Oodser to post jobs, interact with job seekers, or utilize our services.
- "User" refers to individuals using Oodser, including job seekers.
- "Services" refer to all features and functionalities provided by Oodser, including but not limited to job postings, analytics, employer branding, and networking features.
3. Account Creation & Eligibility
To register as a company on Oodser, you must:
- Be a legally registered entity.
- Provide a valid business email associated with your company domain (e.g., @yourcompany.com). Generic email domains (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) may not be accepted.
- Submit accurate business information, including company name, registration details, and verifiable business address.
- Ensure that your representative creating the account is authorized to act on behalf of the company.
4. Verification & Approval Process
- Oodser conducts a strict verification process for all company accounts.
- We may require business registration documents, tax identification, or other proof of legitimacy.
- Oodser reserves the right to approve, deny, or suspend accounts at its sole discretion.
5. Company Responsibilities
By using Oodser, you agree that:
- All job postings must be accurate, truthful, and non-misleading.
- You will not engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities, including scam job postings, fake recruitment, or misleading compensation schemes.
- You will not solicit job seekers for unpaid work, misleading internships, or exploitative opportunities.
- Job postings must comply with local and international employment laws, including anti-discrimination and fair labor practices.
- You will maintain confidentiality of candidate data and comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws.
- You will not harass, abuse, or exploit job seekers.
- You will promptly update job postings and remove listings that are no longer valid.
6. Use of Oodser's Services
Companies may use Oodser for:
- Job Postings & Recruitment - Posting open positions, filtering candidates, and managing applications.
- Employer Branding - Creating a company profile, showcasing company culture, and networking with potential hires.
- Networking & Events - Hosting or sponsoring professional events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
- AI-Powered Matching & Insights - Accessing AI-driven candidate recommendations and recruitment analytics.
Prohibited Uses
Companies may NOT:
- Post misleading, spammy, or non-existent job opportunities.
- Require candidates to pay fees for job applications.
- Post jobs related to illegal, dangerous, or unethical work.
- Engage in discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, disability, or other protected statuses.
- Use Oodser to scrape user data, spam job seekers, or engage in recruitment fraud.
7. Paid Services & Subscription Plans
- Oodser offers free and premium plans for employers.
- Premium features may include boosted job visibility, advanced AI matching, analytics, and company branding.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
- Failure to pay for premium services may result in suspension of features.
8. Data Privacy & Security
- Your Data: Oodser collects and processes company data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Candidate Data Protection: Employers must safeguard job seekers' personal data and comply with all applicable privacy laws.
- Data Sharing: Oodser does not sell company data but may share aggregated insights with relevant partners to improve services.
9. Intellectual Property & Content Rights
- Companies retain ownership of the content they post.
- By posting on Oodser, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and promote job listings.
- Oodser reserves the right to modify, remove, or reject content that violates our policies.
10. Limitation of Liability
Oodser is not responsible for:
- Candidate interactions or hiring decisions made by companies.
- The accuracy of information provided by job seekers.
- Third-party tools or integrations used by employers.
Oodser limits liability to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Termination & Suspension
Oodser reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- Remove fraudulent, spam, or misleading job posts.
- Permanently ban companies engaging in unethical recruitment.
12. Legal Compliance & Governing Law
- Employers must comply with all applicable employment, privacy, and discrimination laws in their region.
- This Agreement is governed by Rwandan law.
13. Changes to These Terms
- Oodser may update these terms periodically.
- Companies will be notified of major changes via email or platform notices.
- Continued use of Oodser after updates means acceptance of the new terms.
14. Code of Conduct for Employers
- Companies must treat job seekers with respect and fairness.
- No discriminatory hiring practices are allowed.
- All communication with job seekers must be professional and non-exploitative.
15. AI & Automation Disclaimer
- Oodser uses AI-driven job matching to provide hiring recommendations, but these are advisory and should not replace human decision-making.
- AI-generated suggestions do not guarantee hiring success or job seeker suitability.
16. Refund Policy
- No refunds on premium job posts unless there is a verified system error.
- Refund requests may be considered only in exceptional cases at Oodser's sole discretion.
17. Enhanced Verification & Anti-Fraud Measures
- Oodser requires business license validation for all new companies.
- Domain email verification is mandatory for all employer accounts.
- Any fraudulent or misleading company accounts will be permanently banned.
18. Disclaimers & Warranties
- Oodser does not guarantee hiring outcomes, candidate availability, or job post visibility.
- We do not vet candidates beyond profile verification.
- The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
